Mission & Goals
With the Network Biological Risk, we are establishing a national „One Health“ network with international reach for the detection and management of biological events and infectious diseases with epidemic and pandemic potential. To this end, we are consolidating and optimising existing infrastructures and expertise, promoting synergies and identifying and filling gaps. In the years to come, the network will serve authorities, decision-makers and the public as a reliable partner and a powerful pool of expertise focused on the identification and prevention of biological risks.
Organisation
The Network Biological Risk was founded on 12 January 2023 as an association based in Bern. The association is continuously being formed and is open to additional network partner organisations from private and public institutions.
Members of the association currently include public institutions, private companies, non-profit organizations and authorities in the fields of research, diagnostics, vaccine and therapeutic development, biosafety and human and animal healthcare.
